• The concept of the protective eye, or “evil eye” - named as such because it was actually believed to protect the wearer against the evil eye - i.e. jealousy, curses, and general malintent - has a long history, dating back at least 5,000 years to ancient Mesopotamia. Its use can be seen across religions including Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism, as well ancient Greek, Assyrian, Phoenician, and Roman cultures.

• Hand-sculpted and cast in solid, recycled 14k gold. No two are exactly alike.

We recommend cleaning your gold jewelry with either a Sunshine polishing cloth, or with dish soap and warm water. Please take special care with items that have leather, silk cord and semiprecious beads - these areas should not get wet.
